If reporting a bug:

Can you describe the problem and bug in more detail?

report restore failed when trying to restore from another machine
How can we replicate the issue?

go to backup and try to restore restore local it is worth noting that this issue happens after #812 and previously it will just hang permanently
Expected behavior (i.e. solution)

it should be able to restore
Error stack (from extension crash page)

no error

So you mean on the same extension? Have you tried reinstalling it and then directly trying to restore from local backup?

I have attempted, they are in the same browser though

sadly that is a failure

i guess currently the backup reading does not work and I think you may consider prioritizing call based backup for now
