Thanks again. Am I correct in thinking that the HiRISE imagery isn't built into the standard WWT experience at the moment? Is there a link to the dataset that you're using, and/or do you have a description of how it was created and how you're loading it into the app?
HiRISE data is obtainable in WWT in select images or the entire dataset and can be viewed by navigating Explore -> Mars. If highlight Mars (reference frame) in the layer manager, and then you right click the HiRISE Imagery, you can set it as a new layer (for Mars). Right clicking the new layer and setting it as a background image set should make it follow the same elevation mapping as the rest of the planet's data, but causes the above.
This was an issue that I can forgotten about until @patudom brought it up a few days ago, prompting an attempted work around, but without success.
HiRISE tiled imagery on Mars breaks the elevation model. Pictures attached: the first as it is slowly loading, the second more fully loaded (and more broken). The closer the zoom, the worse it gets.
