'Gene/allele or strain that recapitulates disease phenotype and is used in this study to gain insight into human disease pathogenesis. (Note: If a strain name is not provided in the paper, eg. CL2006, we will not be able to curate your strain/s as disease model/s).
The remaining two requirements are just fine--
Transgenic studies with either human (or worm) disease relevant gene
Modifiers of a new or previously established disease model (eg., drugs, herbals, chemicals, etc)
We leave them as is. I think this would really make things clear for the User.
The part about the strain name is really important as I’m finding that many a disease paper does not give me a strain name and thus becomes un-curatable.
As per Ranjana's request:
instead of
Worm ortholog/s of human disease relevant gene
Could we say
