Perhaps best solution for a low latency environment is dual booting:

Have a fully featured install (connected to internet including Defender, Search etc.) for developing experiments
Have another minimal install with as much removed from Windows as possible on a different partition. This partition does not need to be very large, as it really only needs to contain one experiment at a time.

Windows 10 installer + activatiecode van de netwerkschijf halen
Eigen image maken met NTLite of beginnen vanaf Tiny10 en dan upgraden met de key van de uni, maar zie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UVKfliA_Rc
Backup Image van Laptop maken
extra partitie maken voor Windows 10
installeren
