Now that CloudPebble is (kinda) back, I could theoretically use PebbleJS to make a "real" app... but I've found it's not quite plug n' play, and debugging is slower and less fun than with SimplyJS :(
(Seriously, SimplyJS is awesome—the feedback loop of making a change and seeing it is super quick, with helpful error messages right on the watch when something is wrong.)
PebbleJS also doesn't get me any further with #2, as I'd hoped it would. There's just no way to tell how much space a given string takes up on screen...
If anyone feels inclined to take this on, please feel free. Otherwise, I'm personally happy with this app as it is. If there's anyone out there who would really like to use this RSS Reader, but can't because of the SimplyJS requirement, let me know, as it might motivate me.
And now it's a real app.
I can't seem to get Javascript apps working in the official SDK, which is why I used SimplyJS. But, I'd love to make this into a proper app so people don't have to create gists and such.
