Add following for Chip:

With an interest in bio-sensors fueled by his day job (R&D Engineer at Creare, Hanover, NH), Chip has developed a number of wearable sensor systems, mostly for real-time health monitoring for military and civilian applications. Sitting cozily in his office one day, Chip stumbled upon an opportunity to develop a low-cost, open-source EEG system. On that day “EEG Hacker” was born. By partnering with Joel Murphy and Conor Russomanno, who went and started OpenBCI based on this opportunity, Chip now spends his free time making things move with his mind. chip audette - openbci

Update website with below: OpenBCI - OpenBCI stands for open-source brain-computer interface (BCI). The OpenBCI Board is a versatile and affordable analog-to-digital converter that can be used to sample electrical brain activity (EEG), muscle activity (EMG), heart rate (EKG), and more. It is compatible with any type of electrode and is supported by an ever-growing, open-source framework of signal processing applications. We are a community of researchers, engineers, artists, scientists, designers, makers, and more. The one thing we all have in common? We share an unfaltering passion for harnessing the electrical signals of the human brain and body to further understand and expand who we are. As our community continues to grow, so do the possibilities of what we can discover and create. What can we build together?

Joel Murphy - OpenBCI co-founder and President, Joel Murphy, has an extensive background in designing and teaching open-source bio-hardware. He was the co-creator of the Pulse Sensor, an optical heart rate monitor for Arduino, and now leads the technology development of open-source brain-computer interfaces.

Conor Russomanno - OpenBCI co-founder and CEO, Conor Russomanno, comes from a mixed background of art, engineering, and science. He has dedicated the first chapter of his career to interfacing the brain, rethinking business, and turning crazy ideas into reality.

Presentation Title/Summary - Title: OpenBCI: An Open-Source Brain-Computer Interface Summary: OpenBCI co-founders, Joel Murphy and Conor Russomanno, will be discussing the emergence of the real-world brain-computer interface (BCI). The presentation will address the state of the art with regards to low-cost electroencephalography (EEG) technology, current trends in BCI being transplanted from the laboratory and into the everyday life, and how the open-source community has a huge role to play in accelerating innovation in the field brain science. The brain is one of the final frontiers of human discovery and expansion, and more people should be a part of the conversation. The presentation will be followed by a hands-on workshop on how to get up and running with the OpenBCI hardware. logo_full_smaller joel conor
