Error building Bash Patch with UF3P, FWE, MMM and Blackened and v31.6 #2

Open Sharlikran opened 8 years ago

Sharlikran commented 8 years ago

I just installed UF3P and for whatever reason it's not included in the Bash Patch.

{{BASH:C.Music,Deflst,Delev,Factions,Invent,Names,Relations,Relev,Stats}}

Those are all the tags but none of it shows up as something that can be selected when rebuilding the Bash Patch. Any ideas @valda?

I think tomorrow morning I'm going to try older versions first to see if they recognized the file.

valda commented 8 years ago

I'm sorry to late reply. I have not installed Fallout3 now. I'll check it out this weekend if I have time.

Your version used for Fallout might be old but it works very well. At first I thought maybe it was because UF3P was the last mod in my load order. However, it's not in the list of mods to check off in the Bash Patch window. Since it has the names tag it should be in the list.

fo3 bash patch

I just haven't done more troubleshooting yet.

valda commented 8 years ago

I tried to install the Wrye Flash 31.6 (05cf808f17bd514f37541e4286ebbf9f04c1ad02) and UPDATED Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch 2.2 (Mod Manager version) to my environment(Windows 10 Pro 64bit), And run the rebuild patch. I confirmed that there was no problem in operation.

Bash Tags obtained from the BOSS are displayed at the tags pane on the main window lower-right?

Thanks for looking into that. I must not have enough mods installed or something. I did see the Bash Tags from BOSS.

When you go to build a Bash Patch and you click on "Import Names" like I have in the screen shot, is UF3P listed as an option that you could check or uncheck?

valda commented 8 years ago

Yes. Other tabs (Cells, Factions, Inventory, Relations, Stats, FormId/LeveledLists) are also correct.

Well as long as it's listed for you then something is wrong on my end.

This is the error for FO3 Wrye Flash on the nexus.

Standalone version patching process crash as soon as I try to tic "import relations" It start as normal but near the end show

QUOTE
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "bash\basher.pyo", line 5843, in Execute
File "bash\bosh.pyo", line 20537, in buildPatch
File "bash\bosh.pyo", line 24154, in buildPatch
ValueError: incomplete format

THe only 4 mods with relations I use are UF3P, FWE, MMM and Blackened. Patcher is crashing even if uncheck all of them under relations, so look like its a feature bug

Since you have verified that there is no issue for you, do you know what the error might be? I don't have those exact mods he listed.

valda commented 8 years ago

It might exception has occurred during the initialization of the PatchDialog. Aren't any errors output to the log when launched from the "Wrye Flash Debug.bat"?

It might be related to the that error report on nexus. I'll investigate it.

Sharlikran commented 8 years ago

I'll ask him to use that or check the setting and post the entire log.

valda commented 8 years ago

I think that fixed the bug reported from Nexus in dde78ce59242e00fc0bf17fd2eca2dc4f690f589.

The problem that UUF3P isn't appear in the list of ImportNames is still unsolved...

Sharlikran commented 8 years ago

I can click each patcher belonging to each bash tag and it's not available for any of the patchers. UUF3P works in Wrye Flash for both you and the user. Which means I probably did something wrong. I didn't want to run the EXE installer so I used the zip file download. I have no idea why installing it that way would make it not be seen when building a Bash Patch.
