There has never been a settings page, but probably there will be one in the future. :) The geolocation feature has a time-out. So if the location can't be found (getting the fix is only triggered at startup and when you start writing a tweet), it's turned off shortly - to save battery. Moreover, you can turn off GPS in the OS (I have a shortcut on the events view for that) completely.
But OK, having the option in a dedicated settings page is certainly better. I'll consider it for the next release.

As a person never using the geolocation feature, I'd really like to have an option, e.g. in the settings page (there used to be one, right?) to switch it off completely. Although probably not having a huge effect, GPS, especcially in device-only mode, tends to drain the battery.
