6 years ago Dry grass / tall grass / ferns have been added, they are now used for Savanna, Savanna M and Mesa Plateau F.
This was a quite painful process (more nodes added), but dry grass was most important. MC has other grass colors, but these are just different shades of green, so these are less important.
I don't want to bother about grass color (and especially leaves color) anytime soon. This issue needs re-consideration after improved engine support for biome/heat/humidity-based grass color has been added (without reliying on tons of nodes).
TODO:
- Grass color of the other biomes (jungle, cold biomes, forests, etc.)
- Colored leaves

Now that there are different dry biomes, the grass and foliage color should be different depending on the biome.
