Is the APK from 11/2016 really the latest release, or is there a newer version left untagged?

@sarabiaj ^^?

@IzzySoft sorry I didn't see your post! We stopped using github releases to distribute the app and had pushed tR to the Google Play Store as a beta release. The latest official release is 6/2017 and you can access the beta by a link in translationrecorder.com

We had added support for a companion application, translationExchange, though this build was kept internally until we finally had the chance for field testing of translationExchange.

We've done a little maintenance work to prep for a new release to the Play Store soon, and intend for some small performance fixes, but for the most part all development effort has been on companion applications for translationRecorder.

@sarabiaj uh, better late then never :rofl: Thanks for adding the APKs to releases again!

To give some context why I like/need them there: I make your app available via my repo¹ so it can be found, installed and updated using the F-Droid client – especially for those who e.g. for privacy reasons rather avoid Play Store. If you like I could also help you getting it listed in the official repo; my library scanner says it doesn't see any offending candidates (F-Droid insists on 100% FOSS, so no proprietary libraries), though I didn't check for "other blobs".

Btw: nice to see the tools Wycliffe uses nowadays! My last "getting-in-touch" was more than 20 years ago (ugh, wait: almost 30 years now, oh my), and things were different "back then". I can imagine this app being tremendously helpful in field work. So all the best for keeping it up!

¹ just checked: my updater already picked up the new version
