Here is another solution for that problem. It is windows doing it's thing so nothing can be done in code afaik.
Download the sysinternals tools
put the exe's in your path.. when it stalls run pssuspend -r cpuminer-<whichever is running aka zen).

This is happening on only 1 out of 3 PCs. When I launch the miner, it processes 1 share and freezes. I found in another post that what's happening is that windows is flagging the miner as "suspended" and I can use Process Explorer to un-suspend it, at which point it mines fine and keeps mining until I stop it.
This is ok if I launch manually (and am here to un-suspend it) but if the PC reboots and the miner launches automatically, it just doesn't mine. Many of the times I've seen this it was about to mine the dev fee.
Does anyone have ideas as to why Windows is suspending the miner at startup? Must be related to this one PC, I just don't know where to look for a cause.
