To keep track of time-dependent (SR-dependent), detector-conditional parameters, configs were added in #43. These have been maintained separately from pax, so that MC would not be tied to pax releases.
Since, however, all simulation must be done with pax_head anyway, as many required pax/data/ files have been removed from versioned environments, and since other frameworks require these configs to be separately maintained currently (see XeAnalysisScripts #9 for example), it may be more appropriate to keep these in pax. This should not affect the processing chain.
