Hey,

Love the app. Having my switch as an all in one portable console for Switch, PC, PS4, etc is awesome.

I noticed that Chiaki (The open source PS4 remote play app) has the ability to set profiles. Like I can set one for on my home network and one for out of my home network.

With Moonlight for the switch, if I'm outside my network, there doesn't seem to be a way to have a separate profile. I have to completely add the external IP and then it overwrites my IP setting, then when I'm home, I have to re-add my internal IP and it overwrites it again.

Any way to have a separate profile for the internal and external network?

If you mean, that you'd like to have separate tabs for local and remote connection to one PC, it is possible to do, but the reason, why I've made it to override existing saved tab, is because your PC could change it's IP in local network and you'll lose all your settings attached to your PC (favourite games i.e.)

There is an option to save several IPs and connect to an available one (or ask which one to use if both is available)

I'm not actively working on this app, but when I'll do, I'll try to implement this feature

@XITRIX Hi! How can I add multiple IPs like you said?

XITRIX commented 3 months ago

That was an idea to implement, right now there is no such option, if you connect same device with another IP, it override the previous one

Yes.

I was thinking of how Chiaki does it (allowing different IP profiles) and it works pretty well.

But obviously different programs, different receivers, there’s obviously reasons why Moonlight doesn’t.
