Confirmed! Also while doing this, the notification bar DID autoclose when
enabling wifi. WEIRD!!!

For me phone doesn't reboot but WiFi no longer works until manual rebooting

by me when i do:
turn on tethering
turn off tethering
go in the tethering options modify something. press OK
turn on tethering
and then it reboots

Similar scenario: (always re-creatable):
1. turn on tethering
2. turn off tethering
3. go in the settings > more > mobile networks > uncheck(disable) 'Data enabled'
4. check(enable) 'Data enabled' again.
phone reboots in around 2-3 seconds.
(if it doesn't reboot, try another cycle of above steps, which should reboot
for sure)

I'm attaching a logcat before reboot, at step 3, and one after the reboot.
