Screen blanks during call HW buttons don't respond #138

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make or receive call
2. Pick up phone
3. Screen blanks (expected)
4. HW buttons don't respond; I can't unblank it

What kernel are you running? Stock

Please provide any additional information below.

The power button can end the call, if enabled in settings.

This sounds like the black screen bug. But this bug has been fixed a long time 
ago...
It could come back if you are using an older kernel or a kernel incompatible 
with the rom. Also you should try lowering the over clock...
