Rom not showing correct baseband or unknown characters #68

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Flash the ROM 2.3.7 with CWM 4.1.4, clean install i.e wipe boot, system, 
data, SD-ext and cache
2.Open the About phone menu
3.Look for Base band version, Unknown \ Unidentified characters are seen

What kernel are you running?
Stock

It would really help if you could provide a logcat when the problem occurs.

Please provide any additional information below.
1. Plain stock ROM: no mods, no gps hacks, no build.prop hacks, nothing is 
installed
2. Same issue observed with the CM 7.2 nightlies however it kept on changing 
with reboots i.e. sometimes it showed correct baseband sometime it wont
3.With oxygen this is not the case it showing wrong baseband always
4. Will try to post the log cat on reaching home.

Just like the nighlies this will show correct baseband from time to time. No 
need for logcat as it is not conclusive.

Settings > Applications > Development > Allow mock locations = on
Reboot
Baseband version will display correctly.
