Can't login with Firefox generated password. #1472

Hey. I noticed that Xoops struggles to log in with Firefox generated and saved password. When I use non-generated passwords like Qwerty123$ (example), there's no problem. So what's the reason for that? Too much symbols?

Please give us an example of a password that would cause problems. Also, how can we replicate it?

Here's the password that wasn't working - LPht*.ZyQU:w2qC Freshly installed Xoops. Downloaded from xoops.org Maybe the problem is in the Firefox password generator?

Can you try the same with other browsers, like Chrome or Edge, and see if you can replicate the same behavior?

I tested this password in the Opera browser, and it worked fine. So, the problem must be with Firefox itself.

I'll check on Firefox this weekend and if there is issue on our side or Firefox. Thank you for letting us know about it. I'll keep you posted, if I found something. In the meantime, please use other browsers...

This is what I found, when testing with your example password: LPht*.ZyQU:w2qC HTTPS website: it works HTTP: it doesn't work HTTP in Private Mode: it works

Can let us know if you problem was on an HTTP website? If yes, can you try to register in Private Mode?
