XQF deb Freezes Machine - Source won't build without minizip module. #216

So, I installed XQF via aptitude and as soon as I clicked on a server, my entire machine would freeze forcing me to shut it off manually. I decided to uninstall and try building it from source and I got an error that I'm missing the minizip module despite installing minizip from aptitude. Is there a solution for this or did I do something wrong?

Well I got it installed albeit having to install a few dependencies as well as linking /usr/local/bin/qstat to /usr/bin/qstat. It still freezes up my machine, but as long as I run it from terminal I can at least crash it so I can use my mouse, etc.
