Nitro themes dont work #111

Closed robler64 closed 7 months ago

robler64 commented 10 months ago

as the title says, nitro themes dont change the colors of this theme

XYZenix commented 10 months ago

please specify which theme you're referring to. i'm assuming DTM-16, in which case, that's intentional; i tried to make nitro themes work before and it looked awful so i chose to discard that idea

XYZenix commented 10 months ago

actually should've clarified, i assume you meant profile themes

if you mean app color themes, those only work in DTM-16 and not DTM-08 because there's no good way i can think of to implement those into DTM-08

@XYZenix Yeah, was about to open an issue in that case, for DTM-08. Maybe you could just get yourself influenced from how Skeuocord deals with the colored Nitro themes on applying itself? Or alternatively, make the Nitro themes actually be just a plain color with simple gradient on them. Doesn't has to be so complex, just more colors to chose than just black or white is more than enough for me. 👍🏻

If you wanna some inspiration, I think the way KDE's Oxygen look and feel color its background is pretty eye-candy. Note the centralized top source light at the window border, like a very slight pastel gradient illuminating the remaining open application. Maybe it might work for DTM-08? Screenshot_20240227_202855

i have an idea for how to handle color themes in DTM-08, but i'll wait until discord stable is on a version of electron/chromium that supports color-mix

closing as invalid because the author of this issue did not even bother to specify which theme they're referring to, and discussing DTM-08's support of color themes here may not even be relevant to what this issue was supposed to be about
