I know 1.1 takes all priority and please take all the time you need for it! I'm just gonna throw this brainstorm stuff I got out here, for potential use in whenever.
Idea 1: Integration with Lovecraft/Cthulhu mods, so you can rip cosmic horrors apart into weird cosmic goo that you can then grow into weird abominable limbs that give you sick modifiers, but also make your pawn REALLY unhappy or do other unwanted stuff. You could add the random berserker effect (like with "butcher's nails") to it, but then it's just another useless part you never use, so I'd suggest stuff like:
Dark Young Tentacle Cluster; adds +40% sight and +40% manipulation, but also adds a -40 mood debuff.
or
Star Vampire Digestive Tract; +1 billion metabolism, +shitload of breathing, -50% bleed rate, but adds permanent addiction (like Luciferium) to "Blood". Blood can be drawn from live pawns (like in the Medical IV's mod) or sucked out of fresh, corpses. Make the blood requirements strong enough to require like 4 normal feed-pawns for continuous feeding of 1 Star Vampire-enhanced pawn.
Heck, any trade-offs would be interestingly really. Imagine the nano-filter lung occupying the normal lung slot, so you have to choose between toxic immunity or extra breathing. Or maybe make it so things can go in weird places, like you can put an extra lung in place of someone's arm. Or a secondary brain where his right leg should be. Or a super-charged heart that decreases bleeding rate but also decreases metabolism.
