Can't enter service mode (necessary for Robotron). #20

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Robotron in iM4a.
2. Wait for "Factory settings restored" notice.
3. Stare at it and wish your iPhone had an F2 key.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
At this point on a real cabinet or PC-based MAME, you'd enter Service Mode in 
order to continue. Since there doesn't appear to be any way to do so on iM4a, 
it's not possible to get in-game in Robotron.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iMAME4all 1.7, iOS 4.2.1, iPhone 3G.

Please provide any additional information below.
Robotron description on MAWS (no ROMs).

you need to reset rom pressing two little buttons at the same time to bring the 
internak menu

Awesome, my apologies for the erroneous bug report. I don't suppose there's an 
equally simple way to put iMAME in dual-stick mode? Playing with four buttons 
works, but is a little suboptimal, especially with the landscape arrangement. 
Looking forward to an iControlPad though, so hopefully that'll solve the 
problem entirely!

I have played  robotron with a wiiclassic pro controller...  The second stick 
is working with a wiiclassic, it is the best controller 4 dual.stick games.try 
it.

IControlpad is not fully supported. There is a icade emulation firmware...As I 
know. It's works 4 digital games... But the analog sticks only works with a 
wiiclassic

I've just discovered the iPhone 3G doesn't even support HID keyboards (like the 
iCade, and thus, iControlPad in iCade mode). Do you have any plans to support 
the iCP directly, or should I give up on physical controls for now? I do have a 
Classic Controller, but BTstack doesn't work with Nyko Wands. Always so close.

I don't have iontrolpad hw... No plans to support it.

The service mode buttons are not present anymore in 1.8 so this bug is a bug 
again.

Look up the Datel wireless (Bluetooth) controller ... Great with robotron. 

But I really wish iMame4all would supply an option to switch the right hand 
buttons with another joystick.

Running iMAME4all v1.10.0 and cannot enter service menu via "Coin" and "Start". 
It DID work while using the Wiimote, and I almost got Joust to start... after 
that, it can no longer be invoked. Even more strange, I have since deleted 
iMAME and reinstalled it; but still can't bring up the service menu via 
Wiimote, or the onscreen controls.

Bumping to include search terms:
Can't start Williams games: Joust, Defender, Stargate, Robotron. Service menu 
does not work on my iPad with iMAME 1.10.0
