Time Zone: [+/-] [00-14] : [00-59] The above three are drop down boxes to prevent somebody from setting the time zone to UTC+06:pancakes.

This is, as of now, the only pref I can think of.

No reason to use drop downs, they'll be way too large, just check if it's correct formatting

Check the time zone then before applying the settings so the Time System doesnt inevitably choke from an invalid time zone.

I don't think you're getting how the RTB prefs system works There's an optional callback that would allow us to define a function that does that. It was sorta implied.
