Actually, we may have found a way to incorporate time interval paychecks as well as giving corporations an advantage.
Employees could be paid per hour only when they are on company property. The land they own (if it is a Commercial lot) belongs to the company, and thus, if they are on it, they can do their job (i.e selling and providing services or not). Companies can simply fire bad workers and manage worker's pays, giving them an advantage over non hired work.

How do we keep the diversity of jobs, avoiding time interval paychecks, and keep the system still non convoluted? We keep it diverse by employing a lot of the core elements of the city to be associated with a profession or group profession.
Doctors heal people for money, covered by the city's treasury or corp, whichever.
Builders are paid by the corps per lot they plant or refunded in which the lot is turned over to the city.
Mechanics "fix" machines, but what exactly is there to fix? ATMs that break down? The city pays them for fixing these machines. What about sewage pipes that provide water to lots? Power lines? If these go all over the city, it'll considerably raise brick counts. A "wireless" power system is to be considered, where the city builds power conduits that provide power to all lots in a certain range. THESE can break down.
Also, these ATMs can be broken randomly by hackers and codemasters, which are described below.
Hackers can break into banks and steal a little bit of cash from their account, but if the system detects them their suspicion goes up (people that witness them breaking into the ATM can turn them in). They (the player that's hiring) can also be hired to erase their identity (aka resetting account) and get a fresh new alias with no connections to the previous identity. They would, however, lose access to their current bank account (its assumed that, really, it just empties/transfers your cash)
Law Enforcement: I'd say cash per offender caught, but also any Gang member caught will reel in cash. Be careful, a false arrest will first cost you a penalty, then a fee, then you're kicked from the Police. Obviously you need to be clean, but it pays really good money.
What else? Lawyers that get people out of jail? What about Corps and their CEOs?
There's always jobs that are not listed: people can always pay someone to do something for them like delivery. It doesn't have to be built into the system.
