Power-Up plan:
Recent literature suggests that generative models may be able to provide a particular quantum advantage in the NISQ era. For instance, by generating synthetic data with improved accuracy. This would significantly improve forecasting models on scarce data. Another interesting feature is the performance of the generative model being correlated to the entanglement capacity of the system, which emphasises the integral role the quantum circuit plays in bringing about this advantage.
I would like to implement the research from the following papers and extend it to gain an in-depth understanding in order to gauge its viability to different applications. This will require access to quantum hardware with > 12 qubits so I would greatly appreciate the power-up, which would enable me to gain a clearer picture of the quantum advantage it provides.
