Unicode Error in Snow Leopard #28

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I loaded the latest version, set the configuration (see attachmend) and
started
2. The error occured...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Some new entries are in my iCal, but not for all of my contacts! The
systems stops at one specific... When I remove this specific addressbook
entry, I'll get an errormessage at anoter entry.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Snow Leopard with the latest version just downloaded.

Please provide any additional information below.
410 Contacts in addressbook; Synchronisation with iPhone and once in the
past with google... No MobileMe!

Same error here. Only occures when selecting 'custom' formatted messages. 
Otherwise
runs fine.

Running Snow Leopard, latest patches, with iCalBirthday 1.7.1.
