Forced Subtitles not appearing when mp4 is streamed using Plex or iTunes Home Sharing #676

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Setting subtitles to "force all samples" when an external .srt is muxed into
mp4 file

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Subtitles should show when mp4 file is streamed to an iOS device using Plex
Media Server or when streamed using iTunes Home Sharing. NO SUBTITLES APPEAR.
Subtitles do show up when the mp4 is played using VLC and Quicktime on 2012 Mac
Mini

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Subler 0.24
Mountain Lion 10.8.5

Please provide any additional information below.

If i set the subtitles to "force some samples" or "do not force samples" then
the subtitles do show when the mp4 is streamed using Plex or iTunes Home
Sharing but the subtitles now have to be manually selected if i want to play
the mp4 using VLC or Quicktime

You should set the audio track subtitles reference to the subtitles track. If
that does not work, blame Apple, they made the specs, if they can't get them to
work it's not Subler fault :P

And you must have the same language in both audio and subtitle track.
