Is it possible to include in your conversion the {\pos( tag of the SRT files,
so we can position the subtitles on the screen correctly?.

I notice that VLC does this very well, but don't know if the it's possible to
convert this to the formar of subtitles that is generated with this conversion.

Thanks,

The tx3g subtitles renderer in AVFoundation can display a subtitles line on top
or bottom. So no, you can have arbitrary positions with tx3g (srt are converted
to tx3g when you import them in Subler).

If you want custom position you need to make a closed captions track or wait
until Apple finishes adding webvvt to mp4.
