Centered Window, Curved above, Blender Instances #275

Feature Description: I'm trying to find a way to work laying down on my couch (health issues) and this app works the best so far.

  1. I have a hard time to read what are on the corners of my Desktop. I can't pan the window to the side when it's flat, the center is always "looking" at me and if I make the window small it's still blurry (Oculus 2). It's like staying in front of a wall with your face close to it and trying to see what's written a few meters away. My suggestion is to have a toggle under the view, something like "snapping" and the view would not align to the radius but to the controller orientation instead.

  2. The curved window it's a great solution, but for some reason when I lift it above the horizon it switches back to flat. I wish I could lay down, look up and still see the curved edges for clear visibility.

  3. When using Blender (the 3D modeling app) and use the "View / New Window" option, and I chose the view to show a window in a view I can only see one option for Blender. It would be great if I could have different views around me for the different panels in Blender. Then that would basically solve the problem from pont 1 for this app exclusively.

  4. One more thing, Blender has a VR inspection addon, it lets the user see the scene from a VR perspective. Would it be possible to launch this VR view in a new view inside XSO? It would help a lot to have a better sense of depth of the object/scene currently being worked on.

1) this exists. Change the aim target to hand and it will aim the window at your hand.

If you want to forgo aiming completely, having the window very close to the hand will not do any sort of aiming.

2) curved window improvements is on the roadmap.

3 / 4) these are tricky. Could you provide more context? If you're wanting to capture multiple views from the same instance of blender, that may not be possible. If youre wanting to do a full vr overlay of blenders vr view, that also isn't possible as overlays don't really have that capability without a lot of extra overhead.
