I'd say the command would create a numerical (integer) scale that would have options running horizontally, instead of vertically.

Features:

• I'd figure that the default setting would be to start at 1, but could start elsewhere, like 0, or -5.
• the user would define when to stop the scale (at 5, 7, 10, etc). Options:
• The user would also be able to anchor descriptions of the points on the scale, such as saying that 1 means 'very unlike me' and 7 mean 'very descriptive of me'. I think that the user should also be able to anchor other points on the scale as well, such as the middle, every other point on the scale, and even every point on the scale (ideally)

I believe it would be nice to also have the ability to do multiple items, so that if the questions are anchored/described in the same way, then the anchoring doesn't need to be repeated for each question. I don't think this would be an essential feature, but would be nice. I'd imagine that have the likert items all falling into a table that has the same anchor description, or for the items to have a 'floating' anchoring that travels along the webpage if the description of the point scale is out of view of the student/viewer. I'm imagining something like microsoft excel, where you can freeze a row, so that the row stays in view if you have a large section of students so you can see the first row.

If there is anything I can do to help with this creation, I'd be happy to help, though I don't have the strongest programming skills.
