SysTray-X: A system tray extension for Thunderbird. Needs both the addon AND the companion app installed to work. Will not work with TB flatpaks or snaps.
Arch Linux has systray-x as AUR package, however, the companion app is not available.
Providing sources for Linux distro-agnostic installer would allow widespread usage of this extension.
