OS and architecture used (32 or 64 bit) Desktop / Window Manager (KDE, Xfce, Cinnamon, MATE etc) Thunderbird version and arch (32 or 64 bit) Add-on version App version Install type: github repository build, script installer, OBS repository. Used Qt library (default system repository, other OBS repo, self-compiled, Qt online installer)
Bug description, how to reproduce, what you expect to happen.
I got 20+ different setups I would need to check....

Thanks but now I have a major problem: disk crash on my virtualbox repository server and my NAS is acting weird. So it is going to take at least a week to repair my systems. Please stay tuned.

Oof, sounds grim! No hurry, as its working-ish here, just would be good to see the 'real' situation without activating Thunderbird itself! :smiley: good luck!
Sorry, not supported anymore in TB90+ due to an API change in TB.
And for those users (such as myself) on ESR releases?
It is only disabled for versions TB90+
I've now got New (vs Unread) messages working fine here on Kubuntu, but it only ever displays '1' when there are frequently multiple new messages. Is it possible to get it to display the number of new messages, rather than a simple indicator?! TIA!
