Is there a flash mode? #60

I'm reflashing and now have bricked the board. All attempts to reflash are failing. Best indicator is that it isn't in flash mode.

I've read grounding io0 and rebooting does this. It seems to get further when I do but fails mid-flash. This has happened to 2 boards now. Both are in same bricked state.

Any help?

It appears I was having USB issues. I think what fixed it is uninstalling device and rebooting. I uninstalled and reinstalled but never rebooted.

For others, it seems after installing the Meshtastic firmware after the first time, the device needs to be manually put into flash mode for any future firmware flashes.

To put into flash mode:

Take a small paperclip and short IO0 (zero) to GND right next it. These are the pins above the OLED screen. Then power up device and flash. After flash remove the paperclip and reboot.
