I never really thought about it before but this is the open source binaries for vscode https://vscodium.com/ VERY IMPORTANT to me is the telemetry is removed in here ... not sure how updates are handled though

Test on KDE Plasma "22.04" is a pass ... so is Fedora and openSUSE

if arch looks ok, this is a closed issue
