Custom Menu items not showing in tests with Mate as the DE #312

note to self: Leap 15.5 was tested with Mate .... Fedora 40 was tested with XFCE

also ... TMM + my custom menu entry code works and THE MENU SHOWS in Kubuntu 24.04.

This issue puzzles me now
