Fix for Issues #103 and #104 #106

@Xonshiz - I have noticed you've been pretty busy, so I have put in a small amount of effort to supplement your hard work.

I have corrected parent directory issue #104 and incorporated my fix for issue #103 . If you find these suitable, please feel free to incorporate them.
