Do you have an older version of comic-dl?
I do not. Only started using this tool earlier this week

Did you already try to download the latest version? Because the support for comicextra has been added the last month
2018.04.11 https://github.com/Xonshiz/comic-dl/tree/2018.04.11 is the latest version, right? That's what Im running.

You seem to have an older version.The latest version supports comicextra. I just checked. But, I think they changed something and it's broken. So, I'll have to fix it.
Updated binary release as well. Please download the latest release and check again, this issue should be fixed.
However, at the time of writing this, comicextra.com was down. So, you might want to wait for it to come back up again.
When I try to run a query against comicextra.com i get the following;
