Both could be backported but the 1.x branch is in life support mode for macos, so this probably won't happen.

Over 20 libraries updated in r17289, with only minor fixups in r17290 (pypi requires SSL) and r17291 (strip URL).

It all still builds and runs fine - I was half expecting something to go wrong.

@smo: mostly a FYI.

Will continue in Xpra-org/gtk-osx-build#3 for the next release.
