Hello,

It would be useful to have volume control in lightdm-gtk-greeter for accessibility, with support for XF86AudioLowerVolume and XF86AudioRaiseVolume keypresses.

I went out on a limb and marked this as affecting lubuntu-meta, since Lubuntu uses lightdm-gtk-greeter by default.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once: apport-collect <bug #>

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

(Lubuntu uses sddm from 18.10 on)

I confirm that there is still no volume control in lightdm-gtk-greeter 2.0.6.

Though this is a viable concern in the greeter, as Chris suggested, Lubuntu has been using SDDM for a while. There's no plans of adding new features, including this one, in the 18.04 LTS for Lubuntu. Sorry.
