https://askubuntu.com/questions/105558/how-do-i-disable-the-super-key
I had several issues with the default keyboard shortcut layout (change) since Xubuntu 22.04. I've been a very happy user of Xubuntu since 8.04. I'm reluctant to upgrade my systems to 22.04, due to several uncomfortable changes I've noticed.
Or my fingers noticed. When I tried to disable the binding of the "Super" (Windows) key, I stumbled over the above mentioned post - and all "solutions" suggested felt very much like an ugly hack to me.
Is there any official source of information where I could read up on why and what was changed to the keyboard shortcuts between 20.04 and 22.04? I'm sorry, I hope this is the right place to ask.
Thank you very much in advance :D

Just to avoid confusion: I'm currently using 20.04 on all/most of my systems. Awesome!

Hello! In Xubuntu 21.10, we added a Super key binding using
xcape
. If you want to disable this key binding, simply remove the "Bind Super Key" app from autostart.Open the "Session and Startup" settings, go to the "Application Autostart" tab, and check the box next to "Bind Super Key". Restart your session and the binding should be disabled.
Unfortunately, binding the Super key in Xfce already requires an ugly hack, so disabling the binding is somewhat unintuitive.
