As the title says, these are suggestions not a bug :)
... focusing on space-limited promo materials such as the printable Xubuntu folding brochure.
intro text focus on the "why" of Xubuntu not the "what"
graphically explain the connection to Ubuntu and Debian
some kind of suggestion about who this is for: for example instead of a picture of happy people we could have a picture of this distro in use in a classroom... from a marketing point of view it may be worth pointing out that this distro is suitable for brand new users as well as experienced tinkerers
links and QR codes (print materials) for official download pages and install instructions
ideas about how to test drive the distro
illustrate Xubuntu running on well-recognized hardware e.g. ordinary user says "oh gee, it runs well on a Macbook Air"
imho it should be a kind of rule that in any newcomer-facing publicity materials, we point to the idea of freedom behind FOSS since the ordinary person on the street raised inside MS/Apple garden can't quite grasp free/open/libre ideas at first
I suggest as well as inviting contributors for translation and improvement of publicity materials like PDFs/brochures, also invite linux-friendly sponsors
Last but not least, and perhaps this should have a whole ticket / flame war to itself: an official verdict about how to pronounce 'xubuntu' ... to improve word of mouth....?
