Bug in selection after dismissing "Edit Selection" menu

With 3.27.0, if you double click a component to bring up the "edit selection" 
menu, there is a problem with selection AFTER this menu is dismissed by 
pressing OK.  After dismissal, the item remains highlighted, which is the 
desired behaviour.  However, if I then single click on a different component, 
it usually does NOT shift focus to the new component. Instead this first click 
is improperly ignored, and a second click is required to shift the focus.  
Super annoying. But it's even worse, because if you double click instead of 
single clicking on the new component, it totally improperly brings up the "edit 
selection" menu again for the *previous* component, not for the one you are 
actually trying to click on.  I think this a new bug, or maybe an intentional 
change, but it has me cursing in rage. I expect the mouse clicks to exert 
effect on where I'm pointing NOW.

Totally agree, just started using 3.27 and have encountered exactly the same 
problem.
Very annoying

It's so annoying I'm considering going back to the older version.

This seems to be mouse click speed related. If the new selection is doubled 
clicked quickly the edit window opens as above. If the new selection is made 
with 2 slow clicks
the edit window does not open.

Bit of a pain having to remember but it works.
