Is this the smallest that works, or can we go smaller? Personally I'd like to see it barely large enough at any given point in time. Unused space is wasted space!

It could go smaller. I'm not sure what the kernel size is right now, but I can change it to that.

2 Mb is as small as it would allow me to go.
