Original issue 2666 created by Omertron on 2013-07-21T23:44:23.000Z:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Run YAMJ against a library containing Blu-Ray ISO images
  2. Attempt to play any of the Blu-Ray ISO images on an NMT (C-200 in my case) 3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expect the video to play on the NMT, but instead get "Cannot Play" errors and returned back to video detail screen.

What version/revision of YAMJ are you using? On what operating system? 2.9 beta/r3721, but tested as far back as r3708 and bug is still present. Mac OS X

What skin are you using? Aeon, GTSpecial Zappiti

What device are you using YAMJ on? Networked Media Tank, PlayonHD, Other? NMT PCH C-200

Please provide any additional information below. This bug was first detected in v2.8 beta but went back as far as at least v2.6.1 (r3000) and was reported via Syabas' forums (http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=63689&pid=622123#pid622123). It was resolved in v2.8 beta r3217, but now apparently has resurfaced in at least r3708.

Further extensive research has revealed that deleting the jukebox and building a brand new one appears to have resolved the issue. I was curious to determine which revision re-introduced this problem and rolled back to release v2.8 r3355, starting with no jukebox, and painstakingly upgraded to subsequent new revisions and deleting the jukebox until I found the bug. Problem is, I went all the way up to r3721 and the BD ISO played fine.

When I was summarily testing before, I simply deleted the XML files related to the BD ISO file I was using to test playback but that was insufficient to resolve the bug. But any new BD ISO files added to the library would not play either, so this led me to believe it had something to do with YAMJ.

Perhaps its still a YAMJ bug, but an obscure one that only manifests itself on "aged" (long established) jukeboxes.

Thanks for finding the root cause.

There is nothing that we can really do about this issue.
