No, I stopped using Salami's movie organizer not long after I created the code above.... Since there are no other interested "customers", I guess that there is no need to mess up the code with obsolete stuff...

I am using Salami's movie organizer. It keeps its movie info in an xml file stored in the same directory as the movie file.
I wrote a small plugin for reading movie data from this file (if it exists) If the file is not found, or cannot be parsed, the plugin fals back to using the Imdb plugin for retrieving movie info.
