Original issue 843 created by Omertron on 2009-06-03T09:42:17.000Z:

As I've been reading Issue 606. Can I conclude that it's not possible to combine these movie Sets and the tvseries "sets"?

It would look very nice to have this option, can it be reconsidered?

example:

Startrek (multiple movies and multiple series) Stargate (multiple movies and multiple series) X-Files (multiple movies and one series) 24 (multiple movies and one series) Terminator(multiple movies and one series)

Thanks for your attention

ps no defect, enhancement

This might be related to my issues # 844 that I just posted...

It's counter intuitive, but at the moment, you can use the tags in the NFO to make this work, to include the tv shows in the set.

I ran into a problem recently when I wanted to create a set which contained a TV series (3 seasons) with its' spin-off TV series, along with a movie. All 5 'movies/tv-series' had their NFO files with the show/movie id and

New-set-4-kids

What I got was the 3 seasons and movie together, but the spin-off still showed up on its' own. Not surprising but I did expect that YAMJ would use the to override what it found for the spin-off.

Not a big deal but I can certainly see the benefits/need of multi TV-series combined together into a set.

What I think you should do in the case of spin off series, try to make it in season
"0" that is also what they do at www.thetvdb.com. it should work that way.

you may want to use dr who as your reference show for this enhancement... it has 2 different series with the same name (original and 2005), the original has 2 movies, the new series has 2 different compainion behind the scene series, and then the original also has the sarah jane tv show spinoff while the newer series has the torchwood spinoff show..

or battlestar galactica, since that now has the original and the new series, razor movie spinoff, the new movie in production, caprica about to come out and now it was just announced that the original battlestar galactica series is going ot be remade without the recent storyline and cast changes so it will be 3 different battlestar galactica shows 2 movies, 1 spinoff.
