As we all know reading a research paper is not a simple job. My idea is to add some functionalities to the open source PDF Readers like Foxit Reader so that it becomes better in terms of reading research papers.
These are the task which I want to implement:
[ ] Identify the big question: Using NLP to find out the problem definition and mark it using a colour scheme.
[ ] Bridging the GAP: For writing one research paper, the author gives references to many other research paper. And it becomes hard to keep track of these things. The editor will generate links which could be used to navigate to particular paper.
[ ] Downloading the references: If a user want to go deep into the topic. She will have the option to download all the research paper which are linked to the main paper if they are freely available.
[ ] Identifying and colouring the related stuff: User should be able to focus only on the topic related to the main research paper. But while going through the references, often user find herself lost in other topics. So, to concentrate only on the relevant issue. I would suggest using word2vec to
find the similarity between phrases in the main paper and the paper which it is referred from. And mark only those areas in the referred paper which are related to it.
