Currently, all events are generated from the currently viewed tab.  This could 
result in an alert being generated on an incorrect (if you switch tabs while 
the page is still loading, for example).  

I'm currently filtering events and not acting on them if they were generated 
for a non-current tab.  This helps, but it's not a long term solution.
