Need Ability to White List Domains Both Top and Lower Level #9

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?

Trying to go from a secure HTTPS url to an insecure HTTP within the same
website I get the following message

"Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be
sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?"

So I clicked Yes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

If I click yes to proceed HTTPS Finder flashes the insecure URL on the display
for about a second and then reverts back to the HTTPS url that I was at before
I clicked yes.

I would expect the user to have the option to whitelist any insecure lower
level domains on a Secure Top Level Domain website.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

0.30

Thanks for posting this. I didn't have any of these issues during testing, but
since then I've found a few websites that do indeed cause this problem. I'm
looking into the best way to remedy this.

This is fixed in Version 0.34, which I just uploaded to Google Code (and am in
the process of uploading to Mozilla now). Closing issue.
