Master Password+ continues to prompt for password even after disabled OR REMOVED

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Disabling or removal of MP+, closing and re-opening of Thunderbird.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

After removal of Master Password+ I expected to no longer be prompted for a 
password however it continues to do so.

What Master Password+ version?  1.21.2

On what Firefox/Thunderbird version?  Thunderbird 24.5.0

On what operating system?  Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

Please provide any additional information below.

Master Password+ is an extension (addon) for built-in Master Password.
Disabling/removing MP+ does not remove Master Password.
If you don't want have Master Password all together, you'll need disable it in 
Firefox/Thunderbird settings (or via MP+)
