Agreed. The point of the code is to emphasize the if-else structure, so pseudo code inside the structure would be a better choice.

Lowering severity because we believe that the code, while a bit lengthy, does not hinder the reader or break the structure of the document itself, it will most likely be a minor cosmetic annoyance.
